WAPSI VALLEY ARCHAEOLOGY, INC.:  

PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR – ARCHITECTURAL HISTORIAN/HISTORIAN


Wapsi Valley Archaeology, Inc. has an immediate opening for an Architectural Historian/Historian.  The position will involve project-based research including survey, analysis, and documentation in architecture and historic preservation. 

Candidates must meet the Secretary of the Interior’s professional qualifications standards for Architectural History and History.  Qualified candidates should have a Master’s degree in architectural history, history, art history, historic preservation, or a closely related field.  Other requirements include at least one to two years’ experience supervising and completing historic/architectural reconnaissance surveys, intensive-level surveys and determinations of eligibility, successful nominations to the National Register of Historic Places, and other historic preservation experience, preferably in the Midwest at the Principal Investigator level.
